Before moving to Belgium, I spent years working as a Mandarin tutor while simultaneously navigating corporate life in Shanghai and Beijing for a decade. Safe to say, I have survived enough high-stakes communication to know what actually works.

Back in my corporate days, I watched brilliant professionals completely lose their executive presence the moment they had to speak Mandarin. They had the intellect and vocabulary, but lacked the natural flow to command the room.
